Next to fake news, the biggest irony of the 21st century, when the fastest and most convenient ways to process and exchange information are being continuously developed, is knowledge drought.
Digital Humanities (DH) tries to end this drought. It allows for the free flowing of information while keeping it consumable through ethical scholarship and data sharing. Like any other disciplines, DH isn’t without its limitations. These limitations, however, do not stagnate scholarship but produce more questions, hence more chances of debate and knowledge production.
The best thing about DH is its promise of accessibility in an age when knowledge production and acquisition is very very expensive.
